Gujarat schools to reopen for classes 6 to 8 students from 18 February

Gujarat School Reopen From 18 February 

Speaking to the reporters, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said, “Classes for students of 6th to 8th standard will resume from February 18, following all COVID-19 guidelines.”

Weeks after reopening schools for classes 6 and 8, the Gujarat government on Wednesday announced that students of classes 6 to 8 will also be permitted to attend school from February 18.

Std 6 to 8 school Reopen from 18 February 

CM Vijay Rupani announced the decision after a cabinet meeting in Gandhinagar.

Besides, the state government has also decided to allow coaching classes to reopen for students of classes 6 through 8 from February 18, the minister said.

After remaining shut for over nine months due to the coronavirus outbreak, schools for classes 6 to 8 and colleges for final-year and post-graduation students reopened in the state on February 18.

“The number of students coming to schools has increased gradually. The academic work for Classes 6 to 8 is going on in a satisfactory manner and COVID-19 guidelines are also being followed.

With the strict implementation of SOP regarding transition control during the Corona period, direct education for Std.10-12 as well as the last classes of the college was started from 11th January at the beginning of the year 2021. Standard 9 to 12 has been started from 1st February. With the expected results, the government has now opened the doors of schools for standard 6 to 8 students as well.
